This was such a pleasant surprise for me. Nike uses a dual-density midsole with Phylon and Cushlon materials to create what they call Dynamic Support. The Structure 24 can be used as your daily trainer, recovery trainer, or long run shoe. It’s not the best shoe for speed work because of its flexible forefoot and its plush upper which makes it weighty. The Structure 24 is the same price as the Pegasus 38 but is more comfortable and more stable so I’d choose the Structure over the Pegasus even though it’s the heavier shoe. They still give that support, but the comfort quotient just gets better and better. The performance of these shoes and the fact that Nike develops all their foams in the house has me believing in Nike again. Upper - no one does it better than Nike

On the midsole is written “CMP 010”. A new foam maybe? To me, it feels very similar to the Lunarlon that was used on the Vomero 10-13.

In all my years, I have never ran in a pair of Nikes. Nike isn’t the first brand I associate with running. So when given the chance to review a pair I decided it was time. There is no unnecessary padding, and the upper has a tailored feel to it. The material also has proven to be breathable while maintaining durability. The ride of the Zoom Structures is comparable in stability and cushion to an Asics 2000 or the aforementioned Brooks Ravenna.

The Zoom Structures has many competitors in terms of price, ride and stability. I found the cushioning and stability similar to that of a Saucony Guide rather than an Omni, or a Brooks Ravenna more than an Adrenaline.

Responsiveness is good in the forefoot because of the Zoom Air unit but is less responsive in the soft heel. There is a shallow cavity under the heel which adds a bit more responsiveness.

Nike Structure 25 Introduction

In the off-road route, the Nike Zoom Structure also performed very highly in our testing. For this shoe, the testing on the Spanish Pond off-road course was done while it was actively raining. Even through the rain, the Zoom Structure did great, and we experienced zero slipping, even in the mud and wet wood planks. The Structure 23 fits true to size and has a deep and spacious forefoot. I found it comfortable enough for super long runs but really warm because of the inner sleeve and all the padding.
