Despite being one of the cheaper brands on the market, El Jimador uses 100% agave in all of its tequilas. It’s also currently the best-selling tequila in Mexico. Mixto: Unless your bottle of tequila states that it contains 100% agave, it’s a mixto tequila. This term literally translates to “mixed” and refers to a tequila that’s made with a combination of agave juice and cane sugar juice. It means the tequila contains more than 51% Blue Weber agave but less than 100% and is likely of lesser quality. It also comes at a lower price point.It’s a popular choice that’s known for being worthy of far more than its price point would suggest.
