It should say “…push the fly SHIELD out of the way” since you are going to be stitching the zipper the the facing. If a tight-fitting waistband doesn't reach your problem areas it will just push them out, not cover them up! One thing I think would really help the novice or intermediate sewist is more info on why the pattern may be adjusted and how to make the adjustments. The fabric I chose is a bit too thick but it's beautiful and good quality- good for a fall/winter suit.
