Sarah from Eastern Passage, NsAlso, to Christian: I absolutely freaked out when I heard it on Supernatural. It was like, "OH MY GOD, THAT'S QUEENSRYCHE! AND OH MY GOD, IT'S THAT SONG I LOVE!" Wendy from Pennsylvania, UsaI have always loved this song from the moment it made it's debut. After losing so many loved ones in my throughout my life, this song brings comfort to me that they are visiting me in my dreams and also protecting me. Smiling next to me in Silent Lucidity.Boehm, Mike (June 27, 1997). "Metal and Its Byproducts: Queensryche Upgrades the Machinery Without Undergoing a Retrofit or Total Conversion". Los Angeles Times . Retrieved February 24, 2021. This is all confirmed by the lyric "commanding in another realm" Jesus told us that his kingdom was not of this realm!! But if you give yourself to him, he will never leave you, he is always by your side! And he is smiling, because he knows your journey, he knows that you will be ok, and that you will find your way home to him!!! The reason why the dreaming makes sense in because Jesus told us that we could travel and see him in our dreams!! He also calls himself the door... and he is the door out of this prison system!!! It's all in the holy bible!! Its incredible really because whomever wrote it must have known the TRUTH!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!!

Living twice at once, you learn / You’re safe from pain in the dream domain / A soul set free to fly.” This imagery sums up the whole idea behind the song – the power of lucid dreams to provide a safe space for introspection and self-growth, making it a powerful tool for emotional healing and self-empowerment. The song then touches upon the concept of breaking down self-imposed limitations and the liberation that comes with it, “The walls you built within / Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin.” These lines reflect on the transformative power of self-realization achieved through lucid dreaming. Christian from Östersund, SwedenThis song was played on the show Supernatural, episode "Heart" and god it fit so good in that ending scene! I fell in love with it instantly :P, and the show became more close to my heart than ever before :).My friend has a limited time left on this planet, she knows it, and has made peace with herself, showing so much strength I can only admire her. As I read through the lyrics, and watched theor souls being released from their bodies, there were three avenues of thought. One, it was written in the first person.....two, it was penned in the second person......and three, the third.........a higher power......a supreme being.......a higher intelligence.....Divine intervention....( God if you are a believer)......I have broken down every time I have heard or played this song since..... i do omow this.....it helped me cope with what I know will be an inevitable outcome.....to accept a beautiful friends demise....to question ones own beliefs.....to heal. He continued: "That song almost didn't make the record. It wasn't completed until the very end, and it didn't have any of the orchestra; it was just vocals and guitar. And the producer that we worked with at the time, Peter Collins, didn't think that it was a very completed idea, and he thought it should be saved for another record [so] we could get more time to complete it. But we pursued it and made it happen and put it on the record, and I'm glad we did, 'cause it definitely has made an impact." William from Streetsboro, OhThere is a sound clip in the middle of the song containing the line, "How we feeling here, better?" That line actually comes from Hellraiser, spoken by he doctor I believe towards the middle of the film.

Karen from UsaWow, everyone has so many strong stories attached to this song. It is my absolute favorite song ever, and that's saying something with my eclectic taste in music. According to Geoff, he has been approached "many, many times" to perform "Silent Lucidity" at various family gatherings and other functions. "I've actually declined every time but once," he said. "And the reason why I declined after that was because of this one time. I did it for some people that I knew that I was pretty good friends with, and they wanted me to sing it at their wedding. And they had a karaoke guy come in, and they had the music all together, and I said, 'Okay, I'll do it for you.' So I sang the song, and everybody loved it. And after my performance, I'm standing there, having a glass of wine and talking with some people, and several people came up and they commented and said how much I sounded like that guy that sings that song. They said I did a really great job and I should be really proud and maybe I should think about doing this professionally. [ Laughs]" Interpretation is everything........I have read every comment posted on this board and cannot fault anyones opinion. All seem to connect to this song for a reason close to the heart. As an instrumentalist, I always listen to melody, instrumentation and engineering first....then perhaps ro lyrics. that is the way it has always been for my prioritizing music......until recently. The Unknown from EarthThe words are wrong in the song not the whole song just one line he says as I lay next to you Silent Lucidity if you listen to the song that's exactly what he says it's easy to hear people need to come off the child molestation craze and get the words right I'm pretty sure it's not against the law for a father to lay next to his Young daughter after after she's just had a nightmareJ_bryon from Milladore/monroe, WiThis too is probably one of my favorite songs. When I was 18 in 1992 this was my favorite song. I used to listen to it, over and over, for hours. This was a time where I was very down on myself and life and the song helped me get through the tough times. Zephyr from Olympia, WaI wasn't surprised to learn that Chris got the idea for this song from Reading "Creative Dreaming" (by Patricia Garfield). I read that book years ago and found it very informative on the subject of how to remember dreams and lucid dreams. I started having lucid dreams shortly after reading that book. Lucid dreams are wonderful experiences because you are "awake in the dream." In this beautiful song I see it take this a step farther....the guide or guardian is asking their charge to be awake in the dream of life. Not literal dreams but Life itself. To become more fully conscious. And from that state to create the reality around them without doubt or fear. Such a truly noble goal in life but one that is rarely chosen. I cry every time I hear this song because it touches a deep longing within me to reach beyond this blind and ignorant human condition. There is a place is me that knows there is so much more we are capable of if only we can break the bonds of fear and limiting beliefs. Lynsey from United States My sister and I found comfort in this song from the moment we heard it first. Our beloved brother had died at 19 years old, having taken his own life some years before. We wrote “I’m smiling next to you “ on countless greeting cards over the years as a message of comfort to each other. She dedicated this song to me at her wedding. When she died and then our mom, i interred then together with our dad and brother and inscribed the lyric on their headstone. I miss them every day but this song still makes me feel close to them , even now . Thank you Queensryche for writing it . Sincerely from the Reed family. Silent Lucidity is a tribute to the power of lucid dreaming. The song’s lyrics describe a person who is struggling to cope with their problems in the waking world. In their dreams, however, they find solace and peace. The dreamer is aware that they are dreaming, and as a result, they can shape their own reality. Karla from Woodland Hills California This is the most beautiful song in the entire world! I absolutely love his beautiful perfect voice!
