About this deal

They came to us as gods and we, like fools, took them at their word. Mephet'ran the Deceiver, Aza'gorod the Nightbringer, Iash'uddra the Endless Swarm; I curse their names, and the names of all their malevolent brethren." Each time a unit's reanimation protocols are enacted, make Reanimation Protocol rolls for that unit by rolling a number of D6 equal to the combined Wounds characteristics of all the reassembling models. Each Reanimation Protocol roll of 5+ is put into a pool. A Reanimation Protocol roll can never be modified by more than -1 or +1.

The two menhirs serve to add even more presence and power to the model. When placed on either side of the throne room, they form a pyramid-like silhouette, reminiscent of a Monolith. When the Silent King returned openly, he bid his Triarch Praetorians and other followers return to him on the Tomb World of Antrakh. He then chose two Phaerons of minor Dynasties to form the new Triarch: Hapthatra the Radiant and Mesophet the Shadowed Hand. The two Phaerons were joined into the Dias of Dominion, itself powered by a captured shard of the C'tan Nyadra'zatha. After joining with the platform, they began to speak with the same voice and never overruled the Silent King. [9]Can only set up within Engagement Range of enemy units that are already within Engagement Range of the Reanimated model's unit.

The self-mill alternatives are light and the self-discard is almost non-existent, making the game with the graveyard more of a toolbox, where the different pieces are gradually placed to be used at some opportune moment. Other than the stunning model, we do see that the two pillars are actually on separate bases, so prepare for some unique and interesting rules! (includes the Primaris Lietantant or Necron Overlord) Millions of years ago while the Necrons were still a mortal species called the Necrontyr they held sway over a massive galaxy spanning empire that despite their overwhelming power and advanced technologies suffered from infighting and an obsession with death. While officially under the ultimate control of the Silent King, the leader of the triarch that was supposed to impose their will upon the empire and direct it to a common purpose, the empire was slipping away as each overlord wanted their own piece of the galactic pie. The empire was able to reunite in the classic way, by rallying the warring factions to fight against a common foe. To this end Necrontyr sought to pillage the secrets of the the Old Ones, a even older race that had long since achieved immortality and were the creators of the enigmatic webway. While the war served its purpose in uniting the previously warring lords, it turns out fighting a enemy with immortality and advanced tech is pretty hard and the Necrontyr were doomed to fail. Despite cosmetic alterations, the shape of the Ankh remains unchanged, each exacting curve and line perfectly reproduced. Each dynasty also has its own glyphs, variations on the Ankh that identify its soldiers as part of a particular phaeron's armies. All Necrons bear the mark of the Triarch, a brand upon their necrodermis skin that binds them to their race's ancient heritage. This absolutely stunning diorama-like model captures the iron-willed authority, grandeur and power befitting such an important hero. Every Necron collector will want Szarekh, the last of the Silent Kings, to lead their deathless legions to battle. You won’t have much longer to wait. Silent King Stat Line Preview Warriors • Immortals ( Despotek • Guardian) • Pariahs • Deathmarks • Lychguards • Triarch Praetorians • Flayed Ones • Cryptothrall Also, the king model himself is huge- look how tall he is. We would not be surprised if he was as tall as the new Skorpeh Destroyers. There also appears to be multiple models on the machine. Three Necrons total, most likely two servants and the Silent King himself.

Range: Extended Melee Range physically; Tens of Meters via the Sceptre of Eternal Glory and Dais of Dominion. Outerversal via Dais of Dominion ( Capable of creating portals into the Webway [10], which would grant it this range) At the time of the War in Heaven the Szrekhan Dynasty was preeminent among the Necrontyr, with its members serving as the Silent King for many generations. This included the last Silent King, Szarekh. After the end of the War in Heaven and the shattering of the C'tan, Szarekh took some of his now- Necron Szarekhan Dynasty into the intergalactic void with him on his mission of exile and penance. Though in stasis, they remained with Szarekh for millions of years until he discovered the Tyranids within the void and returned to the galaxy in late M41. [1] As Szarekh watched the C'tan feast on the life essence of his people, he realised the terrible depth of his mistake. In many ways, he felt better than he had in solar decades, the countless aches and uncertainties of organic life now behind him. His new machine body was far mightier than the frail form he had tolerated for so long, and his thoughts were swifter and clearer than they had ever been. Yet there was an emptiness gnawing at his mind, an inexpressible hollowness of spirit that defied rational explanation.Since Szarekh doesn’t talk these are likely the voice of the Silent King, as GW alluded to. The Triarch to rule them all, so to speak… Even worse, the Immaterium and its daemonic inhabitants had begun to tear apart the fabric of realspace, with the Great Rift eventually cutting the galaxy in half after ca. 999.M41.

It was during the reign of Szarekh that the godlike energy beings known as the C'tan first blighted the Necrontyr. It is impossible to say for certain how the Necrontyr first came to encounter the C'tan, though many misleading, contradictory and one-sided accounts of these events exist. Warhammer is a world so dark and detailed that every time I think i have found one of if not the best models out there I am always blown away when I find another that captures my eye, Szarekh is one of those models and has easily found its way to the top of my collection becoming one of my most recent pride and joys. Building The Towering King Phaeron ( Szarekh • Imotekh the Stormlord) • Overlord ( Anrakyr the Traveler • Trazyn the Infinite • Nemesor Zahndrekh) • Lord ( Vargard Obyron • Lokhust Lord • Flayer King • Skorpekh Lord) • Royal Warden Thanks, guys! We also spoke with Max Faleij from the ‘Eavy Metal team, who talked us through painting this fantastic new model.

Szarekh was given the most sophisticated and powerful Necron body during Biotransference and maintains a sensory and neurological network far superior to anything flesh and blood could create. His physical form is built from the Necrodermis of C'tan. [9] Let the Aeldari shape the galaxy for a time -- they were but ephemeral, whilst the Necrons were eternal. The Silent King's final command to his people was that they must sleep for sixty million Terran years but awake ready to rebuild all that they had lost, to restore the dynasties to their former glory. It was Szarekh's dream that the Necrons might find an organic species whose bodies would prove to be suitable vessels for Necron minds, thus finally ending the curse of biotransference. Nominally a hereditary position, the uncertain life spans of the Necrontyr ensured that the title of Silent King nonetheless passed from one royal dynasty to another many times. Thus it was that the final days of the Necrontyr occurred in the reign of Szarekh, the last of the Silent Kings. It is speculated the the Szarekhan Dynasty's technological superiority may be built into their psyche thanks to the machinations of the Silent King. Even its Crypteks are capable of greater feats of technology. Strangely enough, Dynasties which swear allegiance to the Szarekhan soon find themselves acquiring these same benefits.
