I had become so attached to Grace, her family and the area around Heartcross Castle that I had to keep reading to see how the story panned out for them. It was really heartwarming to read just how loved and missed Grace was and that her friends don’t hesitate to help her which just shows the wonderful community for what is really is – a family. It's been great to reallt dig deep with some old friends, in this book, particularly Isla, Drew, Cam and Molly. The Love Heart Lane Series is one of my all-time favourites and somehow Christie manages to up her game for each new release by adding even more characters to her already diverse cast.

Isolated from friends and family Grace is living her life hour to hour barely scraping by and constantly in fear so when she discovers she is the sole beneficiary of her Grandfather’s castle she knows it’s now or never if she is ever going to escape the clutches of her abusive fiancé and protect her children. I found this book a very heartwarming read and I really can’t wait to read the next book in the series. There are family secrets to be uncovered, friendships be renewed and maybe, a possibility of romance could be on the horizon too.A tentative friendship develops between the pair and I loved how this aspect of the story unfolded with both Grace and Andrew bringing out the good things in each other and in doing so learning some important life lessons. What you will miss out on is how the community has been connected, brought together and developed with each book.
