The trackpad is flush on the wrist rest without being too obvious, and there's even a fingerprint scanner for locking up your system. The model we’re reviewing has its own flair, sporting a Chrome logo on the lid and a faux-aluminum deck. The touchpad is just okay, perhaps a touch small, but it does also include a fingerprint reader in the top right corner. The VivoBook 15 can roughly last through a work day off the charger (this will vary somewhat depending on use case), so it’s hard to complain much about that. Inside, it´s powered by up to an Intel® Core™ i7 processor with 16 GB 2400 MHz RAM, and Features NVIDIA® GeForce® MX330.

Sadly, though, this means that air that is no longer cool reaches the heat sink and the thermal efficiency of the entire setup is compromised.Other than that, we are happy to see that the keyboard, itself, features a NumberPad segment, although the keys there are slightly smaller than the rest.

The chiclet keys are comfortable to type on, and there is ample backlighting to get work done with the lights down low. Through my years here, I've tested and reviewed many, many dozens of laptops and desktops, and I am always happy to recommend a PC for your needs and budget. I appreciate the number pad squeezed into the right side of the keyboard and that it can be easily turned on and off with a Number Lock key, like a full-sized external keyboard. The PCMark 10 test we run simulates different real-world productivity and content creation workflows. The keyboard is the better of the two, with a good amount of travel on the keys without feeling too mushy (they're a little squishy) and clean white backlighting.

However, as with any brand, there are occasional reports of problems such as overheating, driver compatibility, or build quality issues. First is Maxon's CPU-crunching Cinebench R15, which is fully threaded to make use of all available processor cores and threads.
