About this deal

He states what her flaws are and goes further by saying that there are things that the Idiot Trio are better at than her. So yeah, I feel like it’s more helpful to cover and review policies in case-to-case basis rather than simplistic judgement that these narratives provides. I would say that the pacing for Volume 1 is rather slow, but it fills in a lot of details that we miss out from the anime.

You may well consequently believe that my ignorance causes me to assume that this section is unnecessary, but it is.As everyone expresses their opinions about the school's point balances, Kiyotaka begins wondering about how the school determines which students have merit as it didn't appear to be based on passing or failing through test scores. She gives some handouts and speaks a bit about the rules and policy that the school has, proceeding afterwards to give out student ID cards.

Sudō prepares to knock out the student until Honami Ichinose arrives and gets in the middle of the conflict, telling both sides to stop their fighting and threatening to draw over a teacher. Despite this though, much of the dialogue in the middle of the volume makes the characters feel like normal highschool students that talk about normal highschool things, which is a positive considering some of the other topics discussed within the novel. Students of the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School are given remarkable freedom—if they can win, barter, or save enough points to work their way up the ranks! The entire first volume has crux moments like this and all of them are well-executed in terms of just keeping the tension and suspense high; something that I love seeing in novels. Cutting their celebration short, Chabashira draws a new red line on the English score sheet right above Sudō's name, who had gotten a 39 on the exam. The next day, Chabashira arrives in the classroom and presents the scores for all five tests of the midterms. The two speak for a bit, introducing themselves, and watch as various other students come in, including the boy from the bus.

One of the more memorable scenes of volume 2 is when Horikita refuses to accept a reduced punishment for Sudou because she seeks to clear his name completely. Kiyotaka swears to silence, and then questions her on her behaviour and why she is so upset with Horikita.Despite considering myself the kind of person who values equality – a socialist, even – I was willing to give up on those guys.
