After an early career at Eli Lilly and ICI Agrochemicals, Simon spent 10 years as a strategic management consultant to blue chip life science companies. As part of the Change Makers programme, the participants will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers based within the Port and externally, and the option to take advantage of regular one-to-one mentoring sessions with the Port’s leadership team.

He was the first CEO of University of Cambridge spin-out Biotica Technology, which he led for five years and is currently Managing Partner of boutique biopharma management consultancy Alacrita. We are looking to identify and celebrate five UK-based Change Makers, innovators and ambitious leaders who are upending convention and embracing technology to shape a better future: increasing accessibility and inclusivity, pushing to ensure that advance is universal; overhauling health and wellbeing; harnessing the enormous potency of AI and machine learning; creating viable and scalable sustainability solutions; re-engineering education and up-skilling; as well as highlighting fintech innovators opening up opportunity, access to investment and capital and providing security.
