About this deal

Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. I read this over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it - although I really wanted photos of that crap drawer and gallery wall! Most of it was about things I didn’t need to know about due to me being old and past the need for a mortgage, abortion, or debt advice for example .

I've read so many books like this over the years but I am yet to find one that gives any helpful or useful advice or insight . Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB. I've enjoyed Sali Hughes beauty books and articles previously, so when I saw this I was intrigued to see her take on certain subjects. I really don't think Gen Z needs to be told (again) how 'chic' navy and black are together or read an entire section on how to create a password system. Women and men of Sali's age know all (or at least most of this stuff), and young men and women simply don't seek advice from a book of this nature.A lot of the guides needed beefing up - helping grieving friends needs more than a few paragraphs and the lists of what you need in a kitchen/etc.

In 2018, she co-founded the non-profit collective Beauty Banks and in 2022 she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Cardiff University for services to journalism and charity. While not absolutely everything applies (as is rarely the case to everyone) I found it fascinating and there are loads of tips to pass on. I started this book because I remember really enjoying Sali's informed yet frank style of advice in her book "Honestly Perfect. Ultimately, it's a review of two halves: Hughes is absolutely superb on advice pertaining to beauty, skincare and make-up (and I really appreciated her attitude to wellness quackery). They felt like serious manuals from a person who knew more about the thing they were sharing than you did. I bought this book thinking I’d dip in and out of it occasionally, but once I started reading it I got so absorbed I read it cover to cover over a few days. I really enjoy Sali Hughes' writing, so I feel a little conflicted about giving a middling review of Everything Is Washable. If there is anyone's advice I'm going to follow with regard to skincare and beauty purchases, it is hers. I think if you're a fan of Sali Hughes than it makes sense to read as it's her chatting away and giving you advice.

It's a shame because there are some great, sensitively written sections ( eg, how to talk to someone who is going through IVF) but most of it is super specific (eg, how to get a dentist's appointment through the NHS. For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password.

The myriad of topics in this book is just fabulous - something for everyone and the tales she tells of family estrangement, being a night owl, maintenance sex and fiercely protecting her kids all strike a personal chord with me.
