Loud AC charger fan –We have improved this in the new models, putting the AC charger inside the power station and providing different charging modes: Turbo Charge, Silent Charge, and Standard Charge. It may still be a little noisy when you select turbo charging as the temperature rises rapidly and the fan works harder to keep the unit cool. Each individual section on the EB55 has a power button to enable you to only draw power to the ports you need. To turn it on, simply hold down the power button of the desired area for one second and release it, you will know you have activated the ports when the green LED indicator begins to glow and the display illuminates. Turn it off in the same way, by holding down the button for approximately one second and then releasing again. The warranty is where portable batteries like Bluetti falter a bit compared to purpose-built home solar batteries. The warranty for most Bluetti products covers just 24 months of defects due to materials and workmanship. These products are designed to last for a long time, but the manufacturer doesn’t offer long-term coverage for most of its products. One caveat here is that the company is still only a few years old, and it remains to be seen whether its batteries will match the estimated 2,500-cycle lifespans, and whether the company will prove adept at handling customer complaints if they don't. But the tech is solid, the products are proving popular and well-liked, and Bluetti reps actively engage customers through multiple channels, including an owners' Facebook group. The company seems to be doing things right. Overall, the USB ports worked almost to perfection with my power bank, but unfortunately, I didn’t have a device/appliance that could test its 100W USB-C output.

If the EcoFlow River was built with a longer-lasting battery, I would probably choose it over the EB55. However, its lithium-ion battery lasts for 500 lifecycles (to 80% capacity), which is the same amount of cycles as the other three models mentioned in the comparison. BLUETTI kept it sleek and simple in terms of design. The grey color scheme is easy on the eyes and doesn’t scream for attention. We tested our EB55 in a few ways: powering a small outdoor pool pump, running live sound through a PA speaker, and running a full-size refrigerator. In all these tests, the EB55 performed very well. We found the EB55 and PV120 to be well-built, capable and versatile pieces of equipment. They are an excellent option for people who need power on the go, whether it's in an off-grid camping setting, as an RV accessory, or even just a fun day at the park or beach.
Features of the Bluetti PV120 solar panel: fully folded, zippered pouch with wires, adjustable leg. The reason these didn’t output more watts is mainly due to my power bank. It only accepts a max of 12W from any USB-A port. In the EB55’s case, it outputted 14W but my Sherpa took in 12-13W max. Prior to this odd combination of appliances, I tried using a high-powered hairdryer with it, but it failed to run once I reached the highest setting on the appliance. The power station showed a red message reading “SHORT” when it failed and I simply pressed the AC port button to reset the outputs.
