About this deal

The downside of the extra bass is that you don't just hear it – you can also feel it as a more noticeable buzz against your face that pulses with each beat. All bone conduction headphones produce this effect to some degree at high volumes, but it's particularly noticeable with the OpenRun Pro. In ambienti tanto rumorosi bisogna alzare così tanto il volume che inizia a fare solletico sulla pelle.

There is undeniably plenty of room for things to get better as that bone conduction tech improves, both in bass and clarity, but the differences between the Trekz Air and the OpenRun are noticeable. The way that bone conduction tech works hasn’t changed for the OpenRun, using transducers to guide through vibrations up your cheek bones and to your ears, to deliver sound without needing to have something sitting directly inside of your ears. An IP67 rating means they are completely sweating and waterproof. They are totally reliable no matter how intense your workout or how extreme the weather. A moisture detection alert ensures safe charging. Open ear bone conduction headphones for running The OpenRun Pro have new bass transducers in the earpieces that deliver greatly improved sound (Image credit: Future) Cuffie molto particolari. Come in-ear possiedo un paio di queste e delle AirPods Pro 2. Faccio un breve confronto per gli interessati:

Hold up, something’s missing:

Shokz quotes 10 hours of battery and that seems about right from my tests. There were a few discrepancies at first, as using the OpenRun Pro Mini for 90 minutes at about 60% volume saw them drop from 60% to 57%. Using the headphones for two hours on another occasion saw them drop 20%, which seemed more indicative of their performance. Five minutes of charging provides another 90 minutes on the go. I have been using SHOKZ OpenRun Mini almost *everyday* over a year now. For the very first month, wearing this made me uncomfotable because of the physical pressure I felt. I had to move it slightly up or down to avoid pressure on the same spot every now and then. It was like getting used to wearing a pair of glasses to me. It was not too comfortable only in the beginning. But over time I got used to it and now I even forget that I am wearing it. So if you are not comfortable initially, just give some time to get used to. You don’t need to open the app to adjust the EQ as that can be done by holding both volume buttons until you hear a beep, and Audrey (the voice of the headphones) instructs which mode the headphones are in. With a choice of Vocal and Standard your choices are limited, but Voice is decent enough, amplifying voices without greatly distorting music too much, though its main intention is for audiobooks and podcasts.

From a design point of view, big strides have been made from the Air and those first generation Shokz headphones. They feel nicer to wear and the shrink in size does make a difference from a comfort point of view. The Shokz OpenRun Mini is built with durable materials to ensure its longevity and can withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle. It features an ergonomic design that helps prevent irritation and discomfort, even during prolonged use. The earphone also offers a secure fit to prevent it from falling out during intense movements or exercises. Another frequent problem with bone conduction headsets is the sound leakage; with no silicone seal between the transducers and the outside world, it can be easy for those nearby to overhear your songs, audiobooks and phone calls. You might annoy workmates in a quiet office if you crank up the volume on the OpenMove Pro, but when kept at modest levels they're the least leaky Shokz headset we've tested to date.

Secondly, the charging connector has been repositioned. Like the OpenRun, the OpenRun Pro use a proprietary magnetic charging cable, which is much easier to connect than the fiddly micro-USB used by older models. However, for the newer model, Shokz has moved the charging port so it's no longer in line with the control buttons, making the cable easier to connect. Safety & Connection - Stay aware and motivated through any workout with our 8th generation bone conduction technology. OpenRun Mini delivers quality audio while leaving your eardrums open to surroundings for ultimate safety. In summary, OpenRun Pro Mini will be more stable, more comfortable, and even lighter if you have a narrow or small head. If you’re in the gym for an hour a day or running for around the same amount of time, that’s plenty of battery to play with for the week ,and that’s pretty much what we found.
