A 1997 pamphlet describing Gold and Silver mentions that the rival character lives in the same town as the protagonist. This aspect of his character was apparently discarded by the time of the final release, as his hometown was not elaborated upon in the games and it is implied to not be New Bark Town since he seems to be unfamiliar with Professor Elm's lab at the beginning of the game.
To date, the band has released seven full-length albums and three EPs; they have also contributed a unique song to Song of the Silent Land, a multi-artist sampler by their label, Constellation Records. While they don't have any live albums, they (like Godspeed) allow fans to tape and trade their shows, and almost a hundred are available on the Internet Archive .

In the original Gold, Silver, and Crystal games, when battled at Indigo Plateau, the Champion theme is played instead of his rival theme. Kollaps Tradixionales plays with it by having three different songs entitled "Kollapz Tradixional (Thee Olde Dirty Flag)", "Collapse Traditional (For Darling)", and "Kollaps Tradicional (Bury 3 Dynamos)". Thee Silver Mt. Zion is a Canadian band which formed in 1999, originating from Montreal, Quebec. They use a number of different variations of the name on different releases, but the group use the shorthand SMZ and their name is most often simplified to Silver Mt. Zion. Since their inception, the group has undergone almost yearly personnel changes. The band currently has five members following the resignation of three in late 2008.

Harrison, a Trainer from the Hoenn region, assisted Ash and his friends in defeating the trio of wild Pokémon, and went on to catch the Sneasel for himself.
