About this deal

I can safely say there are absolutely no words I can say after closing this book on this breathtaking, painstakingly yet hopeful and poignant memoir but I shall try. Shall I tell you how in awe I am of this woman? How she has the strength to put on foot after another despite the ordeal that no one should have to go through? How reading this memoir it really puts your own life in perspective? How strong Natalie really is even in her darkest moments? About how this doesn’t read as a book, but more as a conversation over a mug of tea? He later says he wasn't, he was covering for someone else, as in the club they don't tell on each other and help hide cheater friends activities from their wives.

Still Standing will make you laugh and make you cry. Some of the stories might even make your hair curl. But it stands as a glorious tribute to absent friends and to a world which has now all but vanished. After spending hours writing the manuscript at his office typewriter, Leather submitted it on a whim to publisher Harper Collins. The novel was discovered on the “slush pile” at Harper Collins. Essentially, the slush pile is a collection of every manuscript a publishing company has and the copies can be read by anyone from the CEO to a secretary. This book is incredible to read and the author is a truly amazing woman to have been through all she has and to come out the other end fighting and able to raise money for the charity that helped her is astounding, especially with her also being a new mum which can be tough enough as it is! I now have to try and write a review for this book that does it justice...

It always pains me to rate my favorite authors on the lower side, but you can’t love every book by every author and this one was just a little too problematic for me. I can see why a lot of others loved it, but it had too much I couldn’t overlook. I’m still willing to try another book from this MC series (depending on who the next hero is of course) and see if it’s any better x

I'm not opposed to forgiveness when there is redemption and a loooot of grovelling. I need to know the sinner feels guilty and i need to see him working for forgiveness. I'm not opposed to heroines with flaws and sensitivity but she needs to use her brain and to refuse any abuse. Now Salama volunteers at a hospital in Homs, helping the wounded who flood through the doors. She knows that she should be thinking about leaving, but who will help the people of her beloved country if she doesn't? With her heart so conflicted, her mind has conjured a vision to spur her to action. His name is Khawf, and he haunts her nights with hallucinations of everything she has lost. But even with Khawf pressing her to leave, when she crosses paths with Kenan, the boy she was supposed to meet on that fateful day, she starts to doubt her resolve in leaving home at all. no seriously though. Clara, girl, make it make sense please. it's time for you to sit down, drink some wine and listen to some tough love and not the bs that came out of your biker babes ok? ok. Separation: Yes They are separated shortly (day?), but there was no mention or suggestion of other partners during this time. He's so controlling I wanted to slap him and although he's protective and treats her well, his temper is a huge big no. It's the heroine's fault because she couldn't 'read' him.In her beautifully written and moving memoir we follow her on her journey of recovery and she shows us that recovery isn't linear or a straight line. She has had to deal with the loss of the man she loved, being a single Mum to three children and adjusting to the world again that looks so different now due to the intense impact from the trauma she experienced. The normal pattern for KA books are the Hero and heroine usually have some sort of falling out at the start before the Hero decides to go for it.

i swear if my friends gave me this advice, i will give them the nastiest side-eye ever and never talk to them again. they just lost my trust if they said this to me because seriously? COME ON. these biker babes are really excusing the "cheating" and is basically on the cheater's side because that is their "way of life" and she should just smile and stfu about it and just let the men do whatever tf they want. Violet's friend, Cheryl, told her she should use Mike (OM) and string him along even though he recently divorced his wife who also used him but i guess it's alright to use and string this poor man along because she's "innocent" and "naive" I do actually remember seeing the incident on the news as it is only around half an hour from where we live in Nuneaton but until I read this book, the trauma and full detail was unknown to me and Natalie has been through so much and to have the positive attitude she does, shows what a strong woman she is, she is an incredible role model for her three daughters. You stake a claim, you stake it, because you want what you’re claimin’. Then you keep hold, no matter what you gotta do to keep it. I claimed you and I’m keeping hold.” Consequently, the chances of a manuscript being read by a person with authority is slim to none; however, Leather’s book fell into the right hands and within four months he was a published author. Telling the story of a wealthy Scottish financier, the protagonist risks his career, family and lover by setting up a drug deal with the IRA. Why risk everything for a drug deal? Revenge for a brutal and unnecessary murder.

Retailers:

He writes as he speaks, entirely from the heart . . . with his usual warmth, care, concern and honesty, a brilliant read.' *****

Long winded paragraphs of a speech from the Hero, I'm not sure men actually speak that much and certainly not at once. During this the Hero and heroine talk about the heroine's situation and he basically offers her a safe place, a job, a home and it seems to imply sex with him too. Overall, this is a good start to a new series and I'm already looking forward to seeing what else will happen in this world. Every single female in this book acted a fool!!!! ALL! I don't care! Imagine these women of the mc telling Tyra lite to accept the fact that her old man WILL stray.....but that's ok because ya know he's worth it!!!! If any of my friends offered me such shit advice I'd be having new friends I'll tell you that! Then when they're confronted with evidence of the cheating they flip the script!!! Clara, baby, I’m not lettin’ you go. We’ll get past this. You just gotta learn not to stand in my way.”

This had my crying, nervous and laughing out loud. I would expect nothing less from the fabulously honest Paul O'Grady.' ***** Update - I of course had to listen to the audio and see if like most KA books if its better the 2nd time around and it was.
