My fishingwaders waders have cleats they are pretty good on many a surface. Mud is going to slide. Only my face stops meBrasher boots are glorious things. I’ll declare an interest here: these are my favourite walking boots and have been for about 20 years, in the city as well as the country. I found them to be instantly comfortable (certainly not something you can say for many hiking boots as solid and durable as these) and need no wearing-in whatsoever. The Frensham Ponds Hotel is a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea after your walk. There's a waterside outdoor seating area with fine views over the pond. It's the perfect place to relax after your exercise. Dog Walking The ones that have removable inners are a nightmare to walk in. Aigle and le chameau are probably the best ones ive had but there quite expensive. This park is run by the National Trust and contains the lovely Frensham Ponds which attract a variety of rare birds such as the reed bunting, sedge warbler, great crested grebe, nightjars and woodlarks. you can see the type of tread pattern on the sole and know if your gonna slip arse over head just by looking at it
