It is solid-- metal case, enough heft to be ergonomic and light enough not to notice when carrying-- the deceptively fragile-looking clip accessory is of heroic strength. Simply activate the Wi-Fi function on the front of the camera, search for the camera in said smartphone's Wi-Fi settings and connect. We had a bit of trouble linking the first time but a bit of fiddling soon gets it running smoothly. I should note that the time it takes to charge (2 hours) means that any upload time less than that for a full card is really not an issue unless I am anxious to view the video. Works well in the night. I know people have reviewed this camera saying that it's poor in the night. It's far from a great picture. But compared to other camera in this price range it still does a good job, even if the picture has softer edges etc, that's to be expected as the exposure goes up. I can still get license plates from the footage at night which is more than can be said for the expensive Drift HD camera! (which is poor at night despite night mode and with the wide lens makes plates hard to read unless really close up). Upload date-stamps via sub-folder name (but not files-- the device does not know what time it is) based upon the day of upload. You tell it what folder to use and it creates all sub-folders there unless you want to change your chosen default location. Recorded video to jerky, the probable cause is the SD card is not able to record rapidly enough and the higher quality one is required.
