Treetop Adventure For the hiking lovers looking for some woodland walks with breathtaking views to add to their list of things to do in Buxton, take a trip to Grin Low Woods which has many walking trails suitable for all ages, including a wooden sculpture Nature Trail. For beautiful views across the town of Buxton climb to the top of Grin Low to find the impressive Solomon’s Temple, a Victorian folly built on a Bronze Age barrow. Top tips for visiting Go ape include bringing gloves, wearing sensible clothing you can climb in, putting on sturdy footwear suitable for the outdoors, so no sandals, slip-on shoes, open toes or heels.

Children (and adults) can bounce through the dappled canopy of the treetop Nets Adventure– giant, ball-filled suspended nets. It's the ultimate outdoor soft play and trampoline experience. The School Trip tells the story of a class of bored primary-school students who long to get outside of the classroom and be “wild and free”. This sparks the idea to visit Go Ape for a day of teamwork, problem solving and re-connection to nature in the forest. Throughout their adventure some pupils struggle with nerves but their classmates and Go Ape instructors cheer them all the way to the zipwire.The courses vary and offer a range of activities. The junior course has two courses and you get to choose which one to go one each time you go round - they operate a time limit here so you can go round as many times as you like in an hour. Zip Trek Adventure: Zip Trek Adventure is a high-flying zip line experience that takes you through the heart of the UK's Lake District. You'll fly across seven a whopping 3km of tandem zip wires, reaching speeds of up to 40mph! With a whopping five Dorset outdoor activities, there's an adrenaline-filledexperience for all thrill-seekers of all ages. We don't have a minimum or maximum booking size for birthday bookings! If you would like to book for more participants than is available in your chosen timeslot, we advise booking subsequent sessions accordingly. The disclaimer needs to be signed by the supervising adult (18+) who is attending the birthday party. Each activity has full supervision ratios. Please refer to these before booking. Great fun for all the family and very safe. The staff fully explain how the safety systems work to make sure you remain safe around the course, which is different between the junior and adult courses. The junior course has a safety system where you follow the wire for the entire course and the staff connect you up - perfect as it means you don't have to worry about keeping a constant watch that your children are doing it right. The adult course requires a more hands on approach as you have to keep moving from one safety wire to the next, which allows you to choose between different difficulty options - but you have two lines and must always have one connected so you're not at risk of falling.

Before Booking

Treetop Adventure Plusis a step up from Treetop Adventure as it includes an extra loop to the Treetop Adventure course. Your young tribe (minimum height 1.2m) will love to climb higher, leap and crawl through twisty crossings and take on an even longer children's zip wire! Author Katie Kinsella, also said, “Having previously worked for Go Ape and currently working as a Teacher, I wanted to write a story that captures Go Ape’s spirit: nature; exploring and achieving; risk benefit and the power of teamwork. Witton Country Park is the starting point of the Weaver’s Way. Also known as ‘The Way’, the 32-mile long distance walking trail passes landmarks such as the grade II listed Silk Hall, Pleasington Priory, and as the name suggests, weaver’s cottages. The landscape is picturesque, featuring reservoirs, valleys, woodland and views across the Pennine Moors. High ropes courses: Climb through the trees and take on tree-to-tree crossings on our high ropes courses. Treetop Challenge is suitable for adults and older children, and Treetop Adventure and Treetop Adventure Plus are aimed at families with younger children.
