This gives time for the colourant to cure properly before being subject to stress. After the gap is filled, and the compound is dry, proceed to sand off and smoothen the area with fine sandpaper. Remove all of the residues from the sanding with the help of some alcohol and a cotton pad. Let the alcohol evaporate completely for about half an hour. Apply the leather sealer on top and leave it to dry once again. The leather filler product is a dense paste which will naturally solidify over time, we advise to use the filler paste within 14 days of receiving the product. Re-apply until flush with the surface. A hole may require five layers to fill. Once happy with the coverage, ensure the compound is dry then if required sand down the compound so it is level with the leather.
